TOY ORGANIZER

Getting hyped up for our Disneyland trip even more by checking out the
Minnie Mouse Multi-bin Toy Organizer from the amazing Delta Children.
Emma absolutely LOVES it. She ran straight to it the second she saw it and started putting all her favorite toys inside. There was plenty of room for every toy she picked. Naturally, her Ariel doll was the first she picked ;)
The organizer was so easy to put together. It is very lightweight and easy to move around (which I'm happy for since I'm always rearranging everything)
Dont let it being lightweight take away the fact of how durable it is. It can hold so many toys without collapsing. It even held my not-so-little-anymore baby girl.
The organizer was sent to me by Delta Children and I cant thank them enough for the amazing gift. My kids playroom is now clutter free. No more Barbie dolls and random little wood blocks on the floor. Plus, you cant deny it, the organizer is cute as ever. They have other characters, my son had his eye on the Lightning McQueen one of course. lol
Thank you!

DIY Stove Cover!

Recently I posted about a stove cover I had made for my new glass top stove. I received a lot of comments and DMs asking how I made it, so this for blog post today I will be explaining how.. At Home Depot I picked up a 1x6  and a 1x4  board. (Cut list) With the 1x6 I cut 4 boards to 29 1/2 inch long each. With the 1x4 board I cut 2 boards at 22inch each. *Measure your stove to be sure of your exact cuts* (Build) With the 29 1/2inch boards for the length of my stove, I attached them all together using wood glue. I then used the 1x4 boards for the sides. Used wood glue to attach the boards and wait for that to dry. Once the glue was dry I went in with my  Ryobi Brad Nailer  to secure the 1x4 boards to the rest. I left a few wood cracks as I love the imperfections of the wood look. You can feel free use culk to cover it all. I then went in with my sander really thoroughly to get the edges and everything smooth. (Decorate) What happens next is up to you. Paint, sa...

Never Grow Up

I constantly go between wanting my kids to be little forever, and being excited about all the things they’ll do in this life. When your kids are little, you are so loved—smothered, even. So much that sometimes you need to come up for air. But those little kids that need you so much end up pulling away completely left you wondering when they grew up so fast! When they sit on your lap or crawl in bed with you, you have no idea if it will be the last time. Today may be the last day your baby wants to nurse. It may be the last time they need you to lie down with them when they have a bad dream. It may be the last year they want you to hold their hand walking them to school. It's funny how the same moments that make us want our child to be a bit more independent can make us the most nostalgic when those moments are over. But...  There will come a day when they start thanking you for all you've done. There will come a day when they ask you for relationship advice. There will come ...

DIY Board & Batten Wall

Alright, months ago I did a board and batten wall in my entry way. Since then I realized it wasn’t my best work, and I wanted it bigger.. so I set out to redo it. This time I promised I would TRY to explain how for all those who asked. Read at own risk, as I do a lot of projects but I am horrible at trying to explain how I did it all. I get really into the moment and forget to stop and take photos, etc. So here’s a try at it. Hope it makes sense to you. First, pick a spot, make youre measurements based on how tall and long you want it, etc. For me, this was my measurements.   Second, once you figured out all your measurements-time to get all the crap you’ll need. I recommend you go to Home Depot and hunt down these. They are 8ft long, and with doing 4ft high boards you get two out of one. These are really good condition so don’t require much sanding if any which is a plus to me-less work. I got about 6 of them and it was the perfect amount. Third, cut and nail your stuff. (Ho...
